How do you mean fails?
Care to explain?
Handle it in what?

We really need more information on your requirement/problem before we can help you.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.

What do you do when a webserver starts returning a 500x error?

Post to this forum then suck your thumb until someone answers. It's much easier than thinking about a problem you're presumably paid to fix.

Or if you want a more helpful analogy, consider that you're driving down the highway in your family car. The car stops moving. How would you handle that?

Bet the first thing most people do is look for red lights on the dashboard.....

(I am impressed by the way you've maintained a consistent, tell-me-how-to-do-my-job in all your posts)

What type of failure are you interested in? You could try asking your colleagues, or do some training in MQ administration. You can't expect a good answer if you provide so little information.

Fails to start?
Fails to stop?
Fails to respond to ...?
Abnormally terminates?
Fails to ... what, exactly?
