hi Docs,
hope all are doing well.

I am using MQ version 6.0 in AS400 server with OS400 os version V6 R1.
I have very little bit Idea of OS400 OS.

Recently i found someone or some how the attributes are being changed. I have corrected some but still want to check if anyother things are changed.

I have checked all files , logs , paths but iam not able to find anything corresponding.

Please can anyone tell me the path or log files or any folder where i can check the changes done or any log entries.

Note: Iam using MQ ver6 in AS400 Server with OS400 OS.

Your best bet is to use a client version of ms03..

https://github.com/ibm-messaging/ms03.saveqmgr

but you might need to compile it for OS400.

Either v6 has properties on object - queues, or etc - that tell you when they last changed.

Or it doesn't.

In either case, ms03 can give you a one line output of all of the objects on your OS400 queue manager.

If you then run it two days in a row - or every day - you can compare the files and see if anything has changed.

Do you have a previous file system backup? If so, restore it, and examine the restored image for differences?

This is where having scripts that create your Queue Manager from first principles come in handy.
All changes should be applied by scripts.
The runmqsc output will show the date/time of object creation and alteration.
If you know when the last authorised changes were made then you can find out when unauthorised changes were made and to what objects.
You really need to enforce some form of change control on your QMGRS.

There's nothing that can retrospectively tell you what was changed and who changed it. There's no security or activity log.

The way to track changes is using the methods described by my associates. The way to prevent unexpected changes is to have property security in place.
