Hi,

1)After promoting "scan delay" property to the flow from fileinput node, in the resulting bar file broker.xml, I cannot see scandelay property.
In that case what value we need to put in override.properties file so that we can override this property using mqsiapplybaroverride command.

2)Is the only way to override this value is to mention it in ftpconfigurable service scandelay parameter ?

IIB Toolkit :- 10.0.0.2

Thanks
Gaurav

There are several places inside a bar file - not just the very top level broker.xml file - that could contain this override.

You should not generally be looking into a bar file for any reason.

mqsiapplybaroverride is a fully functional tool for overriding any properties that are configurable. You simply have to know the right way to use it to address the property correctly.

Properties on a message flow in a library use a different syntax of mqsiapplybaroverride. Properties on a message flow in an application use a different syntax. Properties on a message flow in a library use a different syntax.

Please don't use broker.xml to validate the success of mqsiapplybaroverride.

Hi,

1) Can you please suggest other path/file where I can find the required property apart from broker.xml

2) Currently the property is present in Application only.

3) If I am able to promote scan delay property from node level to flow level, then that means it is configurable property ? If yes, then it should be overridden by mqsiapplybaroverride command .

How we can verify the exact name for scan delay property so that it can be overridden successfully by providing that name in override.properties.

I was referring to broker.xml and there I can't find any matching name for scan delay property.

Please suggest.

As has already been said, you should not be poking around inside the bar file.

Have you tried oh, the

mqsireadbar utility?

What does that show you?

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
