HI,

I wonder if you could advice me what are the best ways to monitor silence (no messages processed in certain time interval by app/flow) in IIB?

Can your monitoring app detect 0 message/invocation of the flow for that certain time interval?

Thanks fjb_saper,

I'm not sure if / how our monitoring tool Tivoli can be configured for that. At least (Archive) Accounting Message Flow Statistics shows number of messages processed in collection interval (1 hour), but what if requirement is that one message should be processed once a week.

You need to talk to your Tivoli team to set up the right condition and notifications

Finally I received response from Tivoli team and as fjb_saber proposed we will utilise Tivoli for this
Quote:
Silence can be seen from attribute "Total Input Msgs". The attribute value is zero if no messages has been processed during last data collection inteval.
Setting "Consecutive true samples" can be used for defining the silence perion.
7*24 samples x 1 hour = 1 week
