I would like to open a queue with a message selector set.

In the documentation of the data type MQOD - Object descriptor there are defined four versions. The fourth version contains the field SelectionString.

When I look to the documentation of the class MQOD I see only the fields of version 1.

Does this mean I cannot use a message selector when I use the mq java api? Or how does it work?

Since it works with JMS, doesn't the jms libs use the mq java libs for connecting a queue manager?

I do not want to use JMS. Thank you for any help!

Even if they do, the selector function is part of the JMS api (and is provided by the IBM JMS implementation of same) and is not part of the native MQ api.

Then you've got a problem.
