Hi all,

I would like to know the use of each jar in the MQ server java lib.

And What is the difference between these jars and the MQ adapter ones.

Some Ibm jars are not present in the MQ adapter rar :

com.ibm.mq.defaultconfig.jar
com.ibm.mq.jms.Nojndi.jar

I guess that the other Jars are about JNDI/JTA...

like fscontext.jar jndi.jar jta.jar etc...

Is it a good practice to reference both java/lib of the MQ server and the MQ adapter for jboss in order to use MQ with .binding jndi file?

Thank you.

You should have all the files you need in the adapter. Now if you go and reference a file context, you need to ensure that you do have fscontext.jar on your classpath...

OK, thanks.

So the com.ibm.mq.defaultconfig.jar and the com.ibm.mq.jms.Nojndi.jar are unnecessary.

What about :

-connector.jar
-jms.jar
-jndi.jar
-jta.jar
-ldap.jar
-providerutil.jar
-rmm.jar
-CL3Export.jar
-CL3Nonexport.jar

Thanks.

Wouldn't know until I tested it. But yes I would not expect to need the Nojndi.jar.

I'd expect jms.jar and jta.jar to be provided in your J2EE appserver distro.
You'll certainly expect to need connector.jar and providerutil.jar, I believe rmm.jar deals mostly with pub/sub stuff and I would not remove either of the CL3 ones...

basically, if they are in the rar file, expect to need them.

Have fun
