Hi All,

We are in the process of migrating our IBM Integration Bus (IIB) Version 9 to the latest Version 10 . In our current IIB V9 setup, we are using WTX nodes in some of the message flows. When I imported one sample flow which uses WTX node to V10 toolkit, it is not working . Rather IIB V10 does not recognize these WTX nodes. We are checking with IBM and waiting for updates from them on this .

Meanwhile, I wanted to check if anyone has faced this issue and if there is any work around to get this working . Please let me know if you have any inputs on this. Thanks

you are ahead of the game aren't you?
IMHO, most companies are not even thinking beyond the POC stage for V10 at this stage.
You might be too quick off the mark if the WTX nodes are not yet supported in V10.

Out of interest, why the rush to move away from V9? What features are there in V10 that you can't live without?

Be aware - this advice does not relate to your exact situation.

Having said that, moving from WMBv7 to IIBv9 we observed that where a developer had both the WMBv7 Toolkit and WTX extension, in some cases the IIBv9 Toolkit failed to recognize the WTX nodes & our workaround (hey, it was Windows) was to uninstall and reinstall WTX once the IIBv9 Toolkit was validated. We did not frame any sensible theory as to why some installations exhibited this behavior and others did not.

I hope this helps, and apologize if it does not.

Hi Vitor/smdavies99. Thanks for your reply.

Vitor - Yes, We also thought the same and reinstalled the WTX after installing IIB V10. But , it did not work (on windows) . I am not sure if we need to uninstall V9 completely and leave only V10 to see if it recognizes WTX.

and perhaps fuel for a new thread but here's why we're working on rolling out v10

- ability to use MQ client connections (which we struggle to live without)
- easier installation on Linux & private cloud (which is currently a pain)
- easier installation on developer workstations (which is currently agony)

Also, the more advanced GDM simplifies the migration of our WESB developers into IIB.

I've just read the requirements, and actually WTX does not support IIB10 yet.

Even if you have some points, you should query IBM about it, because they won't give you support if you are using it like this.

Some more info: [url=http://developer.ibm.com/answers/questions/191886/is-websphere-transformation-extender-wtx/supported html]developer [DOT] ibm [DOT] com/answers/questions/191886/is-websphere-transformation-extender-wtx-supported.html.[/url]

best.

Obs.: Took off the links because of the rules. Replace " [DOT] " by "."
