I know this is not a Java forum, but this is the only forum I am used to

Should JPA provider be OpenJPA or Hibernate?
If I am building a completely new application, should I just stick to JPA and not use Hibernate at all.
Based on what I have researched so far, JPA with OpenJPA is better and not touch Hibernate at all.

One of the articles I read is what I am basing my opinion on

Please let me know

am not sure the jpa version you are using, the jpa 2 is not supporting stored procedures properly that means you have to use most updated jpa version

Well, after some more research, I found that I have to use some kind of implementation of JPA. Either use OpenJPA from Apache, or Hibernate or something similar. So, my question itself was wrong.

Someone in the article below says

JPA is the dance, Hibernate is the dancer.

So, now the question should be, should I use OpenJPA or should I use Hibernate. I am inclined towards OpenJPA.
Our app is very simple, and do not use Stored Procedures, so we should be OK there
