By following standard windows procedures to uninstall or modify an installation.

Perhaps you should talk to your windows administrators.

I want confirm that we can uninstall only the server component, It this something possible, Because the application teams want to retain the MQ client software

Thank you

Does it count as "confirming" if some random stranger on the internet says it can be done?

Have you considered trying it on a test machine?

Then use the original installation media and select the choice appropriate for what you want to achieve...

Then how do you plan to perform the uninstall? Assuming this bunch of random strangers on the Internet give you the green light?

It's also worth asking why the application teams want to retain this MQ client software. If they want it because they're still using a v5.3 queue manager, mention to them how hideously old and out of support that is. If they want MQ client software (and don't care what version it is), blast the old software out and do a clean install of the client software.

If the application teams are using a supported version of the queue manager, this will also give them access to all the new features not supported by the old v5.3 client they're currently using.

Assuming that the tin and OS on which it's running is capable of a later version of MQ Client

Have you even considered doing this?

Why not?
