Hi All,

I would like to know under what scenarios would a file be present in 'mqsitransitin\locks' folder.

I see a lot of files present in this folder for the messageflow that I have deployed which uses FileInput node.

I tried to look at IIB Information Center, but unfortunately did not find the exact details that I am looking for.

If anyone can help me understand.

Thanks in advance.

Environment
IIB v9.0.0.0
WMQ v7.5.0.3
Windows Server 2012

Regards,

Hi Pats21.

The 'mqsitransintin\locks' folder is intended to lock files when multiple FileInput nodes are reading from the same directory. Before the node moves the file to the mqsitransitin directory the node will create an empty file in the locks directory with the same name as the input file, then, and only then, will copy the input file to the mqsitransit directory for processing. FileInput node(s) will scan the input directory for a file that is not locked to begin processing.

More info here

Hope that helps.

Sorry, did not reply on this.

But, this is an issue with IIBv9.0.0.0 and there is an APAR for it.

You might want to upgrade to the latest version/FP of the product. (if you've business approvals)
If you would look at the latest FP3 of version 9, you may find couple of other fixes related to file nodes (FileOutput and FileRead).
