Hi,

I need expert help on converting MQMD fromat WSREQHDR to MQSTR

in my esql .

I have put below code[SET OutputRoot.MQMD.Format = 'MQSTR ';]

but its not converting . Please help me on this.

Assuming the actual code doesn't have '[]' in it:

a) where in the ESQL is this set? Top? Bottom? Some conditonal logic?
b) why not use MQFMT_STRING instead?

What happens? Nothing? A different value? The original value? A voice inexplicably recites, "I'm sorry Dave, I don't think that's going to be possible"?

What does the user trace say is happening? What makes you think the format isn't actually being changed? What evidence do you have that the value is unchanged? Can you see the format being the wrong value or are you infering that it's not working because whatever problem you think this change will prevent is still occuring?
