hi,
i have read the doc but still can't get the hang of it. how do you use runmqdlq to delete all messages in dead letter queue? Is there an example?

Look at the DISCARD keyword more closely...

as dlq are just local queues anyways..?

Hi ,

The dlq is a local queue,but is also used by the qmanager ,so you could expect a queue in use rc ,if you try to clear it without freeing with a alter qmgr command .
Probably is better to browse the dlq messages ,and then
define a rule table for the dlq handler, in order to deal with them properly .
