Is there a way to back up the configurable services and db parms entries alone, delete a broker, redefine and it and restore the config services and dbparms.

i see posts where they say the configurable services are stored in flat file under registry. Wonder if it would work if i back up the file and put it under userdefined folder after i recreate the broker.

Any suggestions?

Is there a way?

Probably.

Is there a *supported* way?

Probably not.

The "right" way to do this is to not need to take a backup in the first place. Use a script to create all of your configurable services and dbparms fields, and then you can re-run the script any time you need to.

I would add this to what my worthy associate has said,

The scripts that you use to create the broker (and the underlying Queue Manager for that matter) should be placed in source control and properly versioned.

Every time you reinvent the wheel the more square it gets (anon). If in doubt think and investigate before you ask silly questions.
