Is there anyone using BlockIp2 on the iseries? On the BlockIp2 manual, there is not much reference to the iseries. and it mentioned that the scydata allows only 32 characters. has anyone tried to use a specification file (e.g. FN=/var/mqm/exit/exit.txt)? If yes, did it work and how?

Try this:

Message Channel Agent user Id :
Security exit . . . . . . . . : BLOCKIP2
Library . . . . . . . . . . : QMQM
Security exit user data . . . : FN=/QIBM/UserData/mqm/ITCMQIP;

The config file is called 'ITCMQIP' file type 'STMF'.

note the SCYDATA parameter is limited to 32 characters max.

I have used it for a while and this is what I have

Security Exit Name
BLOCKIP2 P#SYSP1PGM

Security Exit User data
FN=/MQM/EXITS/BLOCKIP2.INI;

I am using a very old version and the worse part about it at the time was just getting the code compiled. The program will run in the library structure with the property code being in the IFS directory.
