Hi All

Hopefully a quick question, I have a SVRCONN Channel running and am currently seeing a lot of errors at the moment which I will paste below for info, but has anyone seen this when looking at the status of the channel, not sure if its a issue or not.

AMQ9259: Connection timed out from host '127.0.0.1'.

EXPLANATION:
A connection from host '127.0.0.1' over TCP/IP timed out.
ACTION:
The select() [TIMEOUT] 360 seconds call timed out. Check to see why data was
not received in the expected time. Correct the problem. Reconnect the channel,
or wait for a retrying channel to reconnect itself.

EXPLANATION:
The responder program was started but detected an error.

The host name was 'xxxxx (127.0.0.1)'; in some cases the host name
cannot be determined and so is shown as '????'.
ACTION:
Look at previous error messages in the error files to determine the error
encountered by the responder program.

are there any firewall set up between these 2 servers
do a telnet to the MQ Server and see if it is getting connected properly

This is a loopback server connection channel.
Why would you set the local address to port 1414 which I suppose is the port of your listener?

What you are saying in essence is: Once the connection is attempted and before it is established make sure that it can only be handed off to ::1(1414) (equivalent of 127.0.0.1 for IPV6).
Now if this is the port you are running your mq listener on you do have a serious problem about understanding how TCP/IP works or how server connection channels work. Did you look up the meaning and use of the local address attribute for a server connection channel ,or any channel, in the infocenter?

Get rid of the localaddress entry on your channel or select a FREE port range outside of the range being used by your MQ listeners
