Hi,

I have a flow making cal to remote QM(via SVRCONN CHNL). Right now everything is running fine and smooth. But at the remote QM they are implimenting secuity and the want us to send a Specific MCAUSERID only. right now the msgs go with the default mqm value. for the application using java will use createQueueConnection(USER_ID_VALUE_HERE, null); in their code. my application is on broker and using esql only. I could nt figure it out how to set userid on our side.. i will appriciate any hint on this.

Thanks in advance..

That's clever - are you on the shiny new version of IIB that supports client connections? Gosh you are an early adopter. You can't possibly be using a client connection from a JCN becuase that's specifically unsupported......

Tell them they should know better - MCAUser is a channel property, the application can't send it.

Which doesn't set MCAUser and will be overriden by any MCAUser value set by the administrators

Well I've not seent he IIBv10 documentation so I don't know how it controls client connections. I'm stuck on the other versions of WMB/IIB which can't use SVRCONN client connections.

If you are, in fact, sending messages with a version lower than IIBv10 and the user sending them is mqm then this means that you're running the broker under the mqm id.

There's a wealth of discussion in here on why this is bad idea.
