MQ MFT 7.5.0.2
MQ 7.5.0.2

We have an MQ/MFT Filelogger which is interrogated by various scripting programs for audit/reporting etc.
The recent advent of daylight saving time has caused an issue, as the logs are still being written in UTC, but the local machines have all adopted daylight saving time. There is now 1 hour discrepancy.
The MFT Agent writes to the log topic with the timestamp as UTC, I guess I can't change that.
e.g.
Code:
<action time="2014-03-31T13:08:10.084Z">completed</action>

The logger then reads the topic, formats it (we're using the default first 19 chars) and writes to the log.

I don't think this is going to be possible, but is there any way of getting the logfile to adopt daylight saving time? In our case this is BST, so we'd want the logfile to show topic timestamp +1 hour.

Grazie.

Hi sealpup,

The messages published to the SYSTEM.FTE topics by the WebSphere MQ Managed File Transfer (MFT) agents use UTC time only. Therefore, details such as the transfer start time, action times etc will always be expressed in UTC.

The MFT loggers then extract this information from the messages it receives to write it to a database.

Unfortunately, there is no provision that allows the time format used to be changed to anything other than UTC.

You could consider raising a Request For Enhancement (RFE) against MFT should you wish:
