Well, looks like AI (additional instances) has something new in v9 I did not have a close enough look at, jejeje

Thanks !

I used AI to increase throughput.
Did not know about "shut down as needed" feature ...

It's good to have a good forum where to ask ans get answers and pointers ...

Even in WMB 8 you have the option of not having all the additional instances running unless needed.

I think even in 2.1, additional instances would shut down after a minute of idle time.

In v8 (or maybe v7), you got the option to start them all at startup.

In v9 you got the option to create a workload management profile, that among other things includes additional instances, and apply these administratively after deployment (and also programmatically through the REST api).
