Hi all, can any one help me out on this. Our application on WAS is not able to consume WMQ messages. In WAS logs it shows : reason 2009 MQRC_CONNECTION_BROKEN exception and on MQ side when i checked the error logs it says: AMQ9271: Channel 'SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN' timed out.

On exploring more on this , I found out this might be because of the broken connection between the application on WAS and MQ. I checked qm.ini file for CLIENTIDLE parameter but it is absent.

Desperately need help on this. Please help.

Thanks,
Mukund

This error happens usually due to some network error between an MQClient application and the MQServer. It is usually transient and very difficult to track down.

I'm not sure how WAS connects to MQ. If it is using the WMQ Client libraries and is running on a different server to the WMQ Server then the issue may well be in the network connection between the two systems,

Thnx smdavies99 for that.
We are connecting to MQ Server using Connection factory and Activation specifications settings. Could you help me out how to resolve this network error, if it exists?

Thnx,
Mukund

Unlikely. You'll get more assistance in resolving this from whoever supports your network.

Set keepalive on and increase the socket timeout value.
