I'd probably prefer to have a gateway QM in an Active/Passive setup that way there is no chance of any message interruption however that sort of defeats the use of an Active-Active setup in the first place.

There's an IIB v9 sample that reads from an MSMQ queue.

I think some joker also wrote some stuff about it in a v8 redbook.
