OK on site we are upgrading MQ to 70.1.8

We also have MQ FTE

We are upgrading FTE to 7.0.3

I do not have a huge amount of exposure to FTE so I am just confirming my thoughts

1 Can we upgrade MQ on its own? I am assuming stop connections, upgrade, restart etc etc

2 Once MQ is upgraded can we upgrade FTE to 7.0.3 following the above method?

Has anyone done this?

Thanks

Reading the FTE Product page

WebSphere MQ - File Transfer Edition V7.0.3

Versions supported for WebSphere MQ File Transfer Server and WebSphere MQ File Transfer Client:
- WebSphere MQ V6.0 fix pack 6.0.2.4 or later,
For IBM i installations:
- WebSphere MQ V6.0 fix pack 6.0.2.7 (5724H72) plus
- WebSphere MQ Java Messaging and Web Services (5724L26, which
accompanies 5724H72)

- WebSphere MQ V7.0 fix pack 7.0.0.1 or later
For IBM i installations:
- WebSphere MQ V7.0 fix pack 7.0.1.0 or later

For coordination queue manager:
- WebSphere MQ V7.0 fix pack 7.0.0.1 or later
For IBM i installations:
- WebSphere MQ V7.0 fix pack 7.0.1.0 or later

It seems to be that my thoughts in the original post are correct ie

Stop FTE

Upgrade MQ

Start FTE
