Hi,

We are facing some performance issues when a broker flow is puuting messages to a remote qdef.

The whole of the flow takes some 5 secs in total to complete. The problem is the application which reads the message at the other end claims that the message is taking some 10 secs to be read from the queue.

We currently have MQ v6 and MB v 6.0.At a loss of what could be the cause of such a issue.

mmm ok lt me use my crystal ball and see what platform you are on and at the same time what the flow does and the size of your message

also is the complaint the fact that the message takes 5 seconds to be processed by Broker or that the app reading the message takes 10 seconds

So it's possible it's taking that long for the flow to commit the message...

How big is the message? And is it taking 10s to read it off, or is it doing a wait and it's 10s between gets?

Almost anything as you've given no details except that you're using an old version of WMQ and an out-of-support version of WMB. If your site's that lax you could have any kind of performance or configuration issue.

Hi,

We figured out that somehow there is a problem with the cluster setup. The broker queuemanager is not able to connect to the cluster even though all the channels are properly running.

MQRC 2189.

None of the reasons or soultions help.

Well if you'd mentioned the 2189 in your original post that might have given us a clue.

If you had, at any time, described your cluster topology that might have given us a clue.

If you had, at any time, mentioned the exact version of the WMQ software you're using that might have given us a clue.

If you had, at any time, mentioned which of the reasons you've dismissed and why that might have given us a clue.

If you had, at any time, mentioned which of the solutions you'd attempted and their outcome that might have given us a clue (and stopped us suggesting something which has already failed to help)

As it is you've told us nothing so we can't offer any assistance. Except to point out how stupid it is to:

- use such an old version of WMQ
- use an out of support version of WMB
- use a remote queue in a cluster (the original problem you posted)
