Hi,

I have for a long time tried to get the syntax right for filtering a message list in MQMon to show only messages with a specific message ID. I have tried several syntaxes and I suspect that something like

MSGID=='414D512042524F4B4552514D202020205654E74E2000470C'

would be correct. (Similar to for example: PUTDATE=='20111214').

Please enlighten me!

Why not ask the author of the support pac?

Thanks for the quick reply!

Ok, I guess I could do that, via e-mail. That would not be searchable on this forum though, which I thought would be good.

If some one have the answer, please post it here. If I get an answer from Paul Clarke, I will post it here.

Hi,

to finalize this thread I would like to inform you that the support pac author kindly replied to my e-mail with a "beta" version, not yet released, with this functionality implemented. Wildcard search included. Works fine!

All this is working:
MSGID=='414D512042524F4B4552514D202020205654E74E2000470C'
MSGID=='414D512042524*'
CORRELID=='414D512042524F4B4552514D202020205654E74E2000470C'
GROUPID=='414D512042524F4B4552514D202020205654E74E2000470C'

Now you have a recent version, don't forget to check the multi-qmgr list and other recent new features.

MO71 may be a bit overwhelming at first - but it is really useful.

Hi,

yeah, agree it is very useful and it beats all other MQ admin tools IMHO. I have been using the multi-qmgr feature for about 6 months and it is one of my favourite recently released features. I try to keep my program updated.

FYI: One of the stuff that the "beta" version offers, is a queue/channel monitoring feature which can display for example historical queue depths in a graph.

It's a real shame that MO71 only runs on Windows.

It'd be really nice to see as a set of Eclipse plugins for MQ Explorer.

Really, I have a version dated May 3rd, 2012 but I can't see that option - where is it on the menu structure?

Network view was enhanced quite a lot last year as well - always worth looking through the preferences again, as Paul tends to make new features optional (for example "allow queue manager discovery" in network view).

The version I got, v.7.5.0, is dated May 29 2012 and I guess that this feature is added between our versions, since it is quite visible in the main menu. Right between "View" and "Windows" the new "Monitor" is located. In this menu you can choose "Monitor", "Monitor List", "Monitor Status List" etc.
