Is there a rule of thumb for when to use DataPower integrated with MQFTE over DataPower alone for external transfers?

We are in the early stages with MQFTE.

My thoughts are to use DataPower/MQFTE in all cases where an agent can be installed on the source.


Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
