I have a setup , where an XI52 device will need to pick an MQ message transmit it to the XB60 device which will put it on a destination queue .

How to design the transmission between the data power devices for a source and destination MQ transaction.

To extend it furthur , what is the best (design) practise for communication between two datapower devices for differnt protocols (say ftp , http , MQ etc).

Thanks
Steve

HTTP or MQ will be the best way.

MQ is much more reliable

Invariably you mean I need a queue manager inbetween the data power devices if I am to use MQ .

There are some messages which have sizes 50 - 80 MB through MQ , will http be recommended then ?

These appliances are only MQ clients. Clients cannot directly send messages to other MQ clients.

If you send over http or ftp - you introduce a transactional weakness, which you may or may not consider an issue.

You should probably use https or sftp though. Perhaps sftp using keys not passwords would be the best option if you can't use MQ.

MQ is good for messages up to 100mb each, with planning.

As is mentioned, you need a queue manager in the middle.

In general, HTTP is a terrible protocol for shipping any kind of data larger than about 10MB. MQ is better.

FTP is fine for transfers up to whatever size you want, but is subject to all of the problems of working with files - for example not being able to tell that the transfer is complete.
