We have MQ 7.0.1.3 running on HPUX. We are trying to add the queue manager in MQ Explorer using the SVRCONN channel, but we are getting below error

"The queue SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL could not be opened for reason 2195"

Any idea if we are missing something here. We have lot of other queue managers added to Explorer from Windows/AIX/Solaris/HPUX.

Thanks

Are there other queue managers on the same platform, at the same level, and experiencing the same or similar issues? Any exits in use on that channel, and which channel is it, i.e. SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN? Are to trying to recreate the queue because you're focusing on 'arcE_OBJECT_NOT_FOUND', and think it's the queue not being found?

Yes ... We have the same queue manager running on HPUX which is added in explorer and does not have a problem.

No we are not using any Exits

The Q exits and in a hit and trial method we tried to create the queue it says queue exist.

We did try to change the MCAUSER to mqm and try but nothing helped.

Any help well appreciated.

We are using the normal system.admin.svrconn chl and we also created one svrconn channel which did not help.

Off the top of my head, and from particular entries in the FDC, has the queue manager been having any authority issues or errors lately?

If this is not a Production-level queue manager I suggest you stop and restart it, so you have a starting base-line, and switch on trace too. See what, if anything, rears its ugly head from then onwards.

What happens if you try and delete the queue and then recreate it?

What are the queue attributes for this queue? (Use runmqsc to "display queue(SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL)"). Is it a model queue?

Any other error? When the model queue is opened a local queue is created, based in the model one. The FDC shows a security function failing.

You can try access the SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL like this

amqsput SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL <qmgr name> to see what happens.

Finally nothing worked so re-created the queue manager and it worked.
