Hello all,
this is my first WMQ FTE setup, and this may be basic... The question is: how to find where a fteagent is? (ip address).
I have several WMQ FTE agents connecting to the same Agent QMGR, in the MFT Eclipse plugin I see the agents, and I know where there are because the agent name has a reference to the host where it is installed, but without this is there other way to find where the agent is?

Basically you can find it the same way you can find where an MQ Client is...

Ah.. thanks fjb_saper!
That works when the the agent is running and the ip is in channel status, but still not easy make the relation between ip addresses and agent names. In my case fte agents share the same svrconn channel - maybe a good idea to have one channel for each agent. And also have an agent unreachable (ligth pink) and for this one there is no entry in the channel status tables.

Well I didn't say it was foolproof. But as discovery goes it's a good point to start. Documentation too... but sometimes that was never created...

Apparently, if you are looking for where there might be mqfte clients that connect to your MQ network, there is some documentation missing in your shop that you should refer to.
Another avenue would be to look at the configuration of the mqfte itself.
Don't know if it would keep track of where the clients connect from, but maybe you can guess by what files have been transferred... So get to those logs and go through them with a very fine comb...
