Happy Friday... to all of you...
By the presence of Internet things can be moved so fast from one end to another with the helping technologies (including our WMQ/MB World).
Making long story short...
I never knew such techniques for multiplication that I just found

The second method is a bit more interesting to me, but it's not entirely clear what the rules are for dividing into groups...
It seems to be based on the corresponding edge. |

One thing is common that while adding the nos. they move from right side to left side. (in case of 'borrow' digit)
It works, interestingly. To test that, I tried on multiple digits nos. for multiplications.
I'm pleased to share it.

The first method is like Napiers Bones ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napier%27s_bones ) published in 1617 and based on Arabic mathematics.
The second method becomes very tedious when the equations contain digits greater than 3 !

I personally take these methods as a substitute method of multiplication ( occasionally preferred for fewer scenarios only, smaller number but feasible large digits e.g. 23432 x 123 ) .
