Hello,

While trying to connect to a database i am getting the below error.
SQL1598N
An attempt to connect to the database server failed because of a licensing problem.

Is it because i am using DB2 lite free version and there are some licesing contraints?

Actually i am using DB2 visualizer also and i got the same error while i tried to connect.
Then i got 3 jar files related to licensing ie db2jcc_license_cisuz.jar, db2jcc.jar, db2jcc_license_cu.jar from client team and they asked me to replace the existing jars with this one and now i am able to connect to DB using visualizer.

I tried the same on DB2 installation but still the same error.I added these jars to C:\Program Files\IBM\SQLLIB\lib(installtion path) and restarted the DB2 services but in vain.

Can anybody please help me out as to what all needs to be done for this?

It does sound likely, doesn't it?

Go back to whoever this "client team" is, and get a better license? Broker isn't going to make a connection using jar files.
