We are developing an application with Java, MQSeries 5.1 and various database. The application should be ported to distributed operating system like (Windows 2000, Different flavours of UNIX, Tandem and IBM Mainframe.) On Windows 2000, Unix flavours we will be using Oracle as database along with MQseries with Java. Whereas on tandem and IBM Mainframe we will be using NSQL and DB2 respectively. With such distributed operating systems, Please advise how to go about implementing two-phase commit. Please confirm whether MQSeries with Java (Latest version) supports two phase commit with database. Thanks in advance.
