We're having a real problem with our MQSI configuration. We currently have one config manager which deploys to our whole INTE (5 NT brokers) and SYST/MAINT/ACCT (3 AIX brokers) environments. A forced deploy was performed in order to fix a problem with one of our NT brokers and it seems to have made the AIX brokers unable to accept deploy messages. We stopped our MAINT and ACCT brokers but they won't restart correctly after ensuring all DataFlowEngine processes were gone). We currently having the SYST broker running and the execution groups seem to be processing OK but the broker won't accept any deploys (we're too scared to stop it as we expect it won't restart!). In the case of MAINT and ACCT we deleted the brokers and the references to them in the Config Mgr DB, redeployed but only one execution group tries to starts up and fails (we get an BIP2080E: Execution Group Neon_Gts failed to return an internal configuration Start message response within a 60 second time period.). This action was done under the recommendation of IBM (PMR 36598).

We have CSD3 applied on MQSI 2.0.1 (AIX) and also a supplemental eFix to correct a problem with the XML parser not accepting vaild escape chars (e.g. &)

Anyone else had this?

Regards,

Derek Paton

We've had this before, and I'm pretty sure there is already an answer to this in the forum. The problem is being caused because of a msg flow erroring in this exg. Look in the error logs sometimes you'll get a line in syslog.info that'll unlock the problem ( god I sound like Harry Potter!).

Good luck....
