We recently upgraded MQ V6.0.2 to V7.0.1 most of the stuff is working fine. Only mirrorq programs is not working. I am woundering any of you guys see similar issue? I know i am only giving high level details. I do not have more details right now. I requested to my developers to get more details about this issue.

let me know any suggestions or recommendations would be appriciated.

Regards

As has been said more times on this forum than I can count, mirrorq is a piece of sample code. It's not production strength and is supplied as seen. If it's not working, get your development people to debug & diagnose it like they would any other piece of code you support.

If you want supported mirrorq functionality, use a commercial solution.

Edit: removed ridiculous typing & spelling errors. Don't drive drunk, not even a keyboard....

With V7 you don't need mirrorq anymore, you can use pub/sub to replace traditional point-to-point links and copy a message where ever you want to as many destinations as you like...

Administrative WebSphere MQ 7 pub/sub does not preserve MsgIds, required for end-to-end message tracking and request/reply. So you still need mirrorq. Another alternative is WebSphere Message Broker.

They may not need msgid preservation though.

Although it's interesting that it's not preserved - useful to have an option to do so, for example where you want a copy for some purpose but don't want to break the original application (the original queue is made a topic alias).

IBM - a requirement! Optionally keep the original MQPUT msgid as it passes through the pub/sub engine, even when the sub has PSPROP(NONE).
