No. Brokers are associated with queue managers and message flows read from and write to queues.... The two products are very interdependant.

mqsi must and should on the top of mqseries. there is no mqsi with out mqseries.according to our requirement we can use only mqseries with out mqsi.
this relation like using advanced java with out javac(core java).

If you can wait for WMQI (WebSphere MQ Integrator, new name of MQSI) V2.1, you will be able to take in input anything you want using a personnal input node (public API) so, you will be able to transform and manipulate a file (for instance) without puting the file in a MQ queue.
But for its own work, WMQI broker and WMQI Config Manager will still use MQ.

Even with the personal input node (ie, a file), you'll need to do something to deploy the flow to the broker and this will require MQSeries.

Isn't Websphere MQ Integrator 2.1 is same as MQSI V2.0.2? I thought it was just a product rename and not a new product.

Regards,
Kiran

MQSI 2.0.2 support MQ Everyplace and SCADA messages for input and output.

Also other forms of output can be developed with custom nodes and SupportPacs.

WMQI 2.1 supports custom input nodes as well along with Java for development of them.

MQSeries still needed to operate MQSI/WMQI though (but you get a free copy of it with the software).
