Easy...follow the Redbook. Search on this sg246814 (as it's urgent).

and there is a supportpak too on the supportpac site (something like mq ssl wizard, MO04 maybe) that shows the action sequence you need to follow and also creates proper definitions and commands you need to execute (if you do not care what you are doing as this is urgent).

I forgot about those! MC6C for V5.3 on UNIX/Linux, MH03 for V6.0, as well as the one you have mentioned.

I suspect you forgot because you were feeling pressured by the urgency of the query

No. I forgot them because the definition of quality is 'do it right first time, and every time', and I use them when I have to, and as I have become somewhat practised of late, I haven't used any of them for a while.

I used the SSL Wizard support pac, but it produced scripts with errors (perhaps it was fixed). I took those scripts and built what I needed.

The Info Center will explain how to do it but the self signed example is poor (the last time I looked at it). They say something crazy like have every QMGR sign its own key and exchange all the keys. That works fine if you have two or three QMGRs. Not so good when there are 100s.

Follow the instructions for the External CA but make your own CA by using the self signed instructions (you will need to read between the lines).

I have made several posts on this topic and you might find them of use.

PS: I hate the GUI tool. Can't understand it.

I've used OpenSSL to generate a CA certificate 'source', easier and more controllable, even in a development/system test environment.
