Hello!
Will someone please remove the expiry attribute of pages produced by a script search.php. It's annoying how it forces people to refresh the page even when they know that nothing new may appear. I tried to avoid that issue on the client side (MSIE), by changing "Check for newer versions of stored pages" from "Automatically" to "Never", but it does not help. |

| This is usually referred to as POSTDATA resend warning issue, and it cannot be avoided by settings in any major browser. It requires php change. I think I didn't experience it here with search.php until this year. Maybe I'm wrong. |

| I had it tested - issue is not seen with Firefox, but it is seen with Explorer. Doubtful that this is a php issue. |

I don't see it in Chrome either...and Chrome is the new Firefox!

I hate to derail, but Chrome is the new IE.
Chrome runs every webpage in *it's own process*.  This does not provide the benefits that they claim it does, and opens up a whole set of additional problems...
Chrome is specifically built and designed to lock you in to the Google experience, in just the same way that IE is specifically built and designed to lock you into the Microsoft experience.
Firefox is still the new Firefox.
It is redundant of me to mention here that I've never seen this issue with the search.php expiry time...  |
