Hi,

I kept getting an error MQRC_DATA_LENGTH_ERROR only when i was trying to access the PutDatetime of certain messages.

Does this mean that the sending application was setting this with an invalid timestamp?
Is that even possible?

That seems a very strange error accessing a field in the MQMD. That should only be a memory reference to data read by the GET.

Which API language are you using, and what's the failing call/method.

Cheers.

I am using ActiveX.

The method is: putDatetime
According to the documentation the method is supposed to return null if the datetime is invalid. I thought this could occur only in the situation where time contains 60 or 61 seconds. I read about that case in the NT api reference.

The funny thing is that after the get
i get a completion of MQCC_OK and a reason of MQRC_NONE but as soon as i access that particular method the MQSession is set to that error
