Is there any data anyone is aware of comparing performance of JMS vs MQ Base Java API's as far as performance? I am dealing with a high volume system (between 20-30 million messages a month) and assume the jms performance will not be as optimal as using the Base Java (MQI). Due to JNDI lookups, remote calls etc. Is there any data to back this up? Or contradict it? Anyone have specific experience comparing the two from a performance stand point?

Thanks
