I am trying to develop a scheduler in Visual basic 6 to send and receive messages from another application developed using J2EE framework. JMS provider MQ 5.1 will be the messaging provider between the 2 isolated applications.

I need an expert suggestions and recommendation on the higher level architecture and the low level details of development.

I also would like someone to provide me with names of good books and titles relevant to my requirements.

Thanks,
Matt

Hi,

Since this has nothing to do with Capitalware products or services, I have moved it to the 'General Discussion' forum.

Quote:
JMS provider MQ 5.1 will be the messaging provider

Also, I think you are confused. MQ 5.1 did not support JMS. IBM MA88 SupportPac was for MQ 5.2 & higher.

And as long as you talk about MQ being a JMS provider you should really go to 5.3 CSD 08 or higher. (Note check out CSD 11 as CSD 09 and 10 need some APARS for JMS to work right)

Enjoy
