All,

Someone has reported an odd problem between WBI MB Toolkit and MQ Visual Browse. If they have both programs running then minimize MQ Visual Browse for 30 minutes, restore it and then open a queue, Windows 2000 gets the 'blue screen of death with error: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED'.

This JVM issue appears to be a known to Sun (I have never seen it):
http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4713003

http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=4749817

Anyway, one of the suggested solutions of adding the JVM parameter of -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true appears to work.

Therefore, right click on the MQ Visual Browse (or Edit) icon and select Properties. In the Target field, add the following to the end of the line:
-J-Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true (Yes, include the -J value)

i.e.
Code:
"C:\Capitalware\MQ Visual Browse\mqvb.exe" -J-Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true

This will resolve the issue. Note: If you do NOT use WBI MB Toolkit then you do not need to worry about this issue.

What I don't understand is that both programs are running in separate JVMs. So, in theory, they should not be affect each other.

Regards,
