PostForum: Clustering   Posted: Wed Feb 12, 2020 9:51 am   Subject: When to consider DEFCLXQ(CHANNEL) over DEFCLXQ(SCTQ)?
We have it in some of our QMs, and we couldn't notice any performance improvement (avg response times are pretty much the same), but it's good for troubleshooting. We had some sporadic queuing in the ...

Hi all!

We are trying to implement a way to require an LDAP/OS user and password for a specific channel that the non MQ admins uses for MQ Explorer.

If we set the CONNAUTH's CHCKCLNT to 'require ...

1. Put MQ IPT in front of both queue managers, with an internal route defined for each (one route active, one dormant, i.e. shut down);

2. Use the same queue manager alias in both your gateways (th ...

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to find a solution to avoid a possible point of failure.

Currently, we have two QMs that act as a gateway to a partner, and these two QMs are part of a clus ...

I guess saper is right, the way ActiveMQ is configured should be the problem.

I tried to set the QM attribute, but no luck also. (The queue have the same setup in the other two QMs).

I just tested at MQ 8.0.0.6, and my messages load balanced thru the Alias queue to the 2 clustered queues, one of which was on the same QM as the Alias queue.

I made a client connection to QM1, and ...

Seems wrong to me that the use of an Alias Q breaks CLWLUSEQ(ANY). But apparently so.
What happens if you replace the alias with a queue remote with a blank qmgr name? or a cluster alias as qmgr nam ...

You will probably need to lose the QALIAS definition, if you want this to work. The QALIAS does not have a CLWLUSEQ attribute.

Makes sense, it worked, thank you!

The problem is that all of o ...

I am not sure what all your requirements are, but look into using CLWLUSEQ(ANY) for you local clustered queues. It might give what you are looking for.

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't work. ...

We are currently testing the ActiveMQ (v5.14.4) integration with IBM MQ (v9.0) and everything is working as expected, except when it comes to the cluster queues.

We have a cluster wi ...

Hi,

This doesn't appear to be a monitor message but is just an INQUIRE QUEUE response. The DLH reason code is there, it is 2053 (Queue full.) You are clearly using a model queue for your replies. W ...

Hi,

Well, it is probably better to deal with these sorts of things via support@mqgem.com but since you raise it here I'll answer it here.

It you look in the manual you can see that for each loc ...
