Is it possible to configure TCP/IP data packet size in MQ Series?
Or MQ uses network settings?. If MQ uses network values, how can I find the data packet size that MQ using?.
One of my application guy wants to know why MQ using very less packet size (538 bytes)

Thanks for your help!.

This is an interesting question. I would have imagined that MQ would be making TCP/IP socket calls to send messages across channels. I can't imagine that it would even know about number of bytes/packet. That is hidden by the TCP/IP implementation through fragmentation.

I'd have to agree with kolban that what you are seeing is being done by tcp/ip itself. There is a section in the Intercommunication manual that gives buffer sizes based on platform/protocol and the numbers are 16K (os/400) and 32K (other platforms) for tcp/ip. The text is in the Writing and Compiling Channel-exit programs section of Chapter 46.
