Hi,

I am trying to create a Queue manager using a user which is part of mqm group in Linux (64bit) server.

I am getting the below error:
AMQ7077: You are not authorized to perform the requested operation.

All the directory permissions are proper.

The MQ version is 7.0.1.3

Can someone help?

Regards,
ARM

I hope you have newly installed mq on the server.
(go for the latest version of mq).

If you've added a user to mqm, and you can not create the mq qmgr still, you may need to restart the server to get the OAM to refresh the security.
Better you Logout and Login !

Hope you are not doing it using some script which does not have permissions !

Hope your user id is not root !

That's a new one on me...

Now that I agree with.

And if you added the user to the group after the qmgr was started you may have to run the refresh security command on the qmgr...

Hi shashivarungupta,

Did u solve it by giving proper sticky bit permissions to MQ directories?

For me, the problem was with ID that was being created by aix admin. mqm id was not the member of mqm group. I didn't have sudo su - mqm (in our servers, it could be diff. to you) permissions either.
But later, logout and login did work for me.
You can do that including by checking the sticky bits as being said by FJ.

Still you are facing issue ?
How do you login ?
whats the status of the id as its member of some group ?

As documented, WMQ installation and qmgr creation sets appropriate permission bits. Sysadmins changing these permissions will/may lead to filesystem corruption.
