Hi,

We have MQ 530 version installed on Sun Solaris.

I havent been able to create a Queuemanager on it yet.

When i give the following command

crtmqm -q QM1

The following error is displayed

AMQ8101: WebSphere MQ error (893) has occurred.

The FDC file contains the following info

I have checked the disk space and there is enuf space.

Permisions on the binaries are drwsrwxrwx.

Can someone please tell me what the problem would be.

Hi,

Properly kernel settings. Check the quick beginnings for relevant kernel settings. You can also search for the errror on this site.

Also, please apply FixPack/CSD 12. Running 530 unpatched is not a good idea.

Thanks Guys.

I think the patches are not applied and hence we must be facing the problem. I'll get the administrator to apply the patches and do the necessary Kernel settings and then try to create the QM.
